Positive Mold Results – Recommended Remediation Protocol
When mold testing indicates elevated or abnormal fungal spore levels, All Keys Mold Testing recommends a structured mold remediation protocol based on the extent of contamination, building materials affected, and moisture conditions present at the time of inspection. Typical remediation measures may include establishing proper containment, utilizing HEPA-filtered air scrubbers and negative air pressure, removal or cleaning of affected materials in accordance with industry best practices, and correction of the underlying moisture source to prevent recurrence. Remediation should be performed by a qualified, Florida-licensed mold remediation contractor operating independently from the assessment process. Upon completion of remediation, Post-Remediation Verification (PRV) testing is recommended to confirm that indoor air quality has been returned to normal levels consistent with outdoor baseline conditions typical of the Florida Keys environment.
